Let's find out
what God says about the skeletons hiding in your
closet
God sees no shame in your
closet!
"GOD SEES NO SKELETONS IN PETER'S OR YOUR CLOSET OF
SHAME"
Of all the diciples, no one loved
Jesus more than Peter. And yet Peter hurt Jesus in front of other
people. So If you can accept that, like Peter who loved
Jesus so much, had hurt Jesus by his own words by denying
that he even knew Jesus three times.
Peter felt ashamed and embarrassed, and
ran off sulking in his unbearable grief that was too much to bear
alone, and Just like Peter,
Jesus knows there is no one that is perfect except the Son of
God.
If you can accept that your parent's
are only human with faults too, and are not perfect and
therefore will make many mistakes in the words that they say to you
and the actions that they will do. You will come from a more
peaceful place of greater compassion and a deeper understanding that
they are indeed human, and you will understand that there doing
the best that they can under the circumstance's. And it is from
this place, where your heart is pure, that you will find it
easier to forgive them.
We have to remember that when Peter
denied he knew Jesus three times, that he felt so hearbroken that
after Jesus was crucified and He rose from the dead on the third
day. That Peter did not feel that he was worthy to see Jesus. And
Jesus had sent a special invitation to Peter from an angel to let
Peter know Jesus had already forgiven him because of His
unconditional love for all of us and Jesus life of living in
total forgiveness.
I know you still hurt,
but now you will not react from a place of great hurt, because you
have learned to not put them on a "pedestal of perfection"
where they could do no wrong or that they have perfect love
when only Jesus is perfect in His love for us.
Show your parent's that you are growing
up, that your muc more mature spiritually and emotionally than last
you were last year. That your much wiser, even in these heated,
difficult and emotional circumstances. Show them that you
have more options and choices available to you so that you can
work things out in a more positive way.
You see, as important as to what happens to you in
your life, it is far more important to how you react to what happens
to you in your life. Which includes in you deciding to argue and
debate with your parents, teachers and authority figures that are in
your life. Or you can choose to take the high road.
If you do it God's way by choosing compassion and
mercy and grace to your parents and other authority figures that are
in your life. God will take your life from mediocrity to a much
higher level of being blessed.
Your parent's may not say
nothing at the time, but when they have a quiet moment to
reflect back on the exchange of words between the both of
you. They will know that you were the bigger person,
that they had raised you right and they will be proud
of you, where it counts, inside their heart where their love for you
lives forever.
