Be
blessed
Doing
it
God's Way
With Reverend Michael Cartwright
Let's find out
what God knows about each one of our hearts
God will know us by our
heart
God is
greater than our heart, and knoweth all things." 1
John
3:20
"God's truth is that we can
go to Church seven days a week, give the biggest offering and obey
half of the ten commandments and we may still not be blessed for it
if our hearts are not pure! Which version of the truth do you want
to hear, our's or God's? God's version is the only truth that
matters.
"People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord
examines their motives." Proverbs 16:2
God will know us by our hearts!
God will judge us and bless us from our heart. He will know if our
heart is not right. When you give to the Church, do so with a glad
heart and you will be blessed for it. And when you do
something good for someone, if you do it with humility
and in secret God will reward you for it. If we do things,
including when we are given a big offering at Church where we make a
big show out of it, God's Word says that you have already got your
reward. God has always taught that it's better to eat bread and
water in a house of peace then to have steak and wine in a house of
bitterness and resentment.
Always stay blessed by putting your trust in
God and not people who persuade you to turn from God.
This is what the Lord says: "Cursed
are those who put their trust in mere humans and turn their hearts
away from the Lord" Jeremiah 17:5
It's how we treat others and what we
say from our heart that count! God did not say to be "Thankful For all things" He
said to be "Thankful In all things." And that
includes our attitude on how we treat others in our daily life
including at home or when we go to work. Do we work for
a boss that may not seem to appreciated us. God does not
expect us to be thankful for our ungrateful boss, co-worker or loved
one.
But God expects us to be thankful that you have
employment when there are so many others that are unemployed or that
you have a family or loved one even if they are far from perfect.
Sometimes when we ask God to change some one else's heart, God
may ask us to change our heart first from a complaining heart to a
grateful heart.
"Jesus
said: I tell you this that you must give an account on
judgment day of every idle word that you speak." Matthew
12:36
The truth is when you go to work, your not
working for your employer, your working for God! So have a glad
heart knowing this and your joy and blessings will increase.Ask God
to bring joy back to your Boss's heart, the work place or someone
you care about. And when you do just be patient and to thank God for
changing their hearts before you see any evidence of it. That's
faith and you cannot please God or move His hand without faith! If
we glorify God from our hearts in everything we say and
do, God will move Heaven and earth just to get close enough to bless
you for it!
"Don't
repay evil for evil. Don't snap back at those who say unkind things
about you Instead, pray for God's help for them, for we are to be
kind to others, and God will bless us for it." (1 Peter
3:9)
What good is our faith if our heart
is not in the right place?
"Dear brothers, what's the use of saying
that you have faith and are Christians if you aren't proving it by
helping others? Will that kind of faith save anyone? If you have a
friend who is in need of food and clothing, and you say to him,
"Well, good-bye and God bless you; stay warm and eat hearty," and
then don't give him clothes or food, what good does that do? So you
see, it isn't enough just to have faith. You must also do good to
prove that you have it. Faith that doesn't show itself by good works
is no faith at all-it is dead and useless."
James 2:14-17
Jesus Christ said I am He that
makes all things new.
"Live no longer
as the unsaved do, for they are blinded and
confused. Their closed hearts are full of darkness; they have shut
their minds against Him, and they cannot understand His ways! They
don't care anymore about right and wrong and have given themselves
over to impure ways. They stop at nothing, being driven by their
evil minds and reckless lust. But that isn't the way Christ taught
you!" Ephesians 4:18-20
God's plan of
Salvation
It's all about how we treat others!
In all the years throughout my life, I have
kept my promise to God. I have helped people throughout my life from
being hurt. I still get e-mail thanking me for helping protect
a family member of theirs from physical abuse from years ago.
"Don't just pretend that you
love others; really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side
of the good." Romans 12:9-10
Vengeance is mine saith the
Lord!
