Doing
it God's Way!

"God Bless our
Firemen, our Heroes!"
"I will make
the godly of the land my heroes." Psalm 101:6
LB
Where would this world
be without our Heroes?
What a different destiny our lives
would have taken without them.
Our Firemen have a higher purpose
that intentionally brings them to deaths door steps each and every
day knowing that this day could be their last.
How would one
person, home, or great city ever have
hope to meet the sunrise every day without the men or
women who have taken a vow to protect them. Today is October 26,
2007, right now even as I begin to write
this. There are over a dozen different major fires burning
throughout our great State of California.
Many of these brave and honorable men
and women have not slept in days, driven onward by just
adrenalin and a pure heart to save lives and everything that we
hold dear and precious to us. Many firemen and people have
already been seriously hurt or killed from these fires.
My Father was a Assistant Fire Chief
and Fire Inspector in the United States Air Force, he once
told me that all fires are extremely dangerous no matter how small
they may seem at first, including trying to put out a airplane
that was on fire because the flame burns so clear that sometimes he
has seen men almost walk straight into the fire without seeing
it.
What makes a person choose a
profession as dangerous as a Fire Fighter.
First it has to start with a
spiritual and pure heart that loves people like Jesus did, someone
who feels your grief and sorrow of the possibility of losing a loved
one.
Someone who knows that their purpose
is to do everything in their power to bring back our loved one
so that we can hold them a little tighter today and glorify God for
this second chance.
Someone who will be their to support
and comfort us during the lowest moment of our lives when
God calls them back into His loving arms, even though they know that
their are no words that will bring us understanding or comfort
during this time.
You see,
Firemen are people too, their heart
breaks each and every time that someone's life is lost or is
in danger, they even put themselves in harms
way to save our pets, because they know that their part of our
family too.
If you ever want to know the heart of
a Fireman, and if they had the time to
answer your question on how many people have been injured or
lost during a tragic fire or rescue, no matter if it was just one
person or countless others, their answer
would definitely be, more than they could bear.
They get scared just like we do; no
one wants to die, especially by fire.
Firemen are not brave all the
time,
What makes them a hero is that they are brave when they
have to be,
None of us will ever forget the
tragic loss of so many heroes on September 11, 2001
How could so many firemen have lost
their lives on that senseless and tragic day.
God's Word tells us why.
God's Word tells us that
there is no greater love than being Firemen.
When others are running
out of a burning building,
Without regard
for their own safety,
They rush in,
Hoping that the life
that they save will be yours!
"Greater love hath
no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his
friends." John 15:13 KJV
May we always keep them in our
prayers
Because God needs Heroes
too
