What has God done
for you lately?
Sometimes people need some kind of daily proof that God is
there for them, like some kind of litmus test of God's
favor, and they will ask me: Michael, I know that God has
blessed you in wonderful ways but what has He done for you
lately?
When I hear this question posed to me, I
can't help but think about two things that come to my
mind.
One is how we are still very much like
the people who Moses led the exodus of his people out of Egypt. They
have all seen remarkable and incredible things in their own lives
such as God causing the plagues to shape Pharoh's harden heart to
let his people go, or seeing God divide the red sea. Then when
Paroh's soldiers in their chariot's came charging down towards them
from a distance, I marvel at the lack of faith that they had
thinking that God did all these wonderful things to bring them out
into the desert just to be slaughtered by the bad guys.
Then I think of two scriptures that
come to my mind concerning our faith.
Then Jesus told
him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those
who have not seen and yet have believed." John
20:29
"When I, the
Messiah, return, how many will I find who have faith?" Luke
18:8
So it doesn't seem like I am
advoiding the question of what has God done for me lately since my
Ministry is based on how God wants to bless you continually and He
is bound by His promises if we do things His way.
I will mention a few blessings
that I praise God for from the last few days;
(May 11, 2007) One of the Managers
for the Target stores in Southern California named Jeremy
just gave me a free brand new Casio G Shock wrist watch. I did
nothing but bring my old Casio watch in to get a new battery and the
lady did not know how to put it back together. God blessed me with a
new watch.
The same day I went to pick up a
mechanic named Larry to work on a car that belonged to my
employer named Bob, I explained to him about my Internet
Ministry and how I am going to pick up a computer router over the
weekend so that I can have high band width. Larry reached over
behind a table and under a pile of stuff he handed me a free
router.
May 12, 2007, an air condtioner
technican named Clarence came over to my home and he handed me
a reasonable bill for $150.00 for parts and labor which I
paid in cash. We were talking about our faith and what a
blessing we are to each other and Clarence gave me back
$50.00.
May 14, 2007
As I stepped out of my vehcicle this
evening, I was just outside of my home thanking my next
door neighbor who lives on the left side of my home for
helping me with his remote control to open the gate since my
remote control needed batteries.
At the same time my other
next door neighbor Walter who lives on the right side of my
home who has a wonderful wife and family approached me and asked me
to not go anywhere as he went back into his garage. He came right
back out and handed me a $20.00 bill and told me that he found it in
my front yard yesterday and wanted to give it back to
me.
(This blessing did not happen this week, but God knows I
like food!) I went with my family and friends to the Taco
Factory who have great food and when it came time to pick up my
dinner combo, the person behind the counter told me that the chef
made a mistake by making two of my orders and that they wanted me to
have it for free.
To some people these may not
seem to be big blessings, but to me and God every blessing is a big
deal because it shows how God keeps His promises to bless you in
everything you do.
As you may already know, I have
praised God countless times. From fallen out of my dad's car while
we were driving down the freeway and my dad running over me:
A parents
worst nightmare
From protecting me from a big knife
attack while trying to protect someone from a woman beater,
God Protected me in big knife
attack
To surviving a drive-by
God protected me in first
drive-by
To blessing me and my family
financially again and again.
God will bless
you financially
You see every blessing whether big or
small is just as equally great as the next one, and always remember
every good gift comes from God.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from
above." James 1:17
God will bless Walter and his family
for his honesty and his integrity many times over and he has won my
heart. God will bless my other neighbor who helped me at the gate
many times over for his compassion, both of these men
have earned my respect and will be blessed throughout their
destiny.
Everytime you help someone you are
glorifying God and being a blessing to someone.
The way to be continually blessed is
to always give God the glory and the praise in everything and to
care if all others go to heaven too.
"Everything comes from God alone, Everything
lives by his power, and everything is for his glory." Romans 11:36
