Be
blessed
Doing
it
God's Way
With Reverend Michael
Cartwright
Being obedient to God's Will reveals His wisdom
"We are all connected in God's
Plan"
"See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as
wise."
Ephesians 5:15
To live circumspectly
means to live our lives with the understanding that the whole of our
lives is connected.
Our Lord and Savior
wants us to always live our lives knowing that we are all
connected to each other.
It's important to note how God connects the
dots in each of our lives when we are obedient in doing His Will.
There are no coincidences that are in our lives, including when
my wife crossed paths with this wonderful man's wife who
God wanted to bless. God expects us to live with
the understanding that the whole of our lives are connected with
each other.
Depending on God's Will, He will bless us by
bringing the same people to cross paths in our lives
for just one moment, or for a
season.
Just like those who were my heroes of
faith, I knew that it was my turn to glorify God by
showing my love for Him by my obedience to His
Will by getting this message to this wonderful man.
"And tell him, Blessed is the one who does
not lose his faith in me."
Luke 7:23
So I joined a class just so
that I may relay this message to the guest speaker who was
also was the brother of this wonderful man.
So I waited for the right time when
we were alone, I did not leave during the class break to get
something to eat or drink just so I could share this wonderful
news with the man related to him.
Just like Moses, I probably did
not possess the gift of eloquent speech to deliver such a
important message.
Sadly the person I shared this
with did not seem to believe what God wanted to do for this
man.
Little did I know the adversities, obstacles, and
the problems that would lie ahead of me.
"Jesus
said: I tell you this that you must give an account on
judgment day of every idle word that you speak." Matthew
12:36
In over ten years I have never had a problem with
anyone at this wonderful man's place of worship. The Spirit of
our Lord comforted me and reminded me not to worry, I was
enlightened to the fact that this man who had no faith in what God
wanted to do for his brother. He also did not have any
faith another time when this wonderful man who was his brother came
to him to ask for his support and his faith in something wonderful
that God has laid on his heart. And that was for this wonderful man
to leave the Church location that he was presently at and to move to
a much bigger location that the Lord wanted him to move to in
complete faith.
"Blessed is
that man that maketh the Lord his trust." Psalm 40:4
The brother who did not have the faith to believe
in this wonderful message that God had asked me to give to him did
not also have the faith to move from the smaller Church to the one
that they are at today. And he told his wonderful brother
who was acting out on faith to not move the Church and to just
stay where they were. This brother who had no faith also shared
with the class that if his brother did not pursue his calling from
God that he probably would have went into construction.
Praise the Lord that this wonderful man who God wanted
to bless did not listen to his brother who had no faith.
Because this wonderful man acted out on faith, he and
his Ministry are being greatly blessed for it today including the
brother who had no faith. I can see why God wanted to
bless this wonderful man again.
When I,
the Messiah, return, how many will I find who have faith?"
Luke
18:8
There were many things that happened during this time
that tested my very faith to God and my love to this man who
did not deliver this message. I was deeply hurt from the things he
said in front of my precious little girl. And it is not important to
discuss them here because it is all about bringing glory to God
by telling others that God will never leave you one time and that He
is close to the broken hearted. You can learn more about this from
this wonderful man who God wanted to bless by reading his first
book; "God never waste a
hurt!"
"These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether
or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold
and purifies it- and your faith is far more precious to God than
gold; so if your faith is remanins strong after being tried in the
test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory
and honor on the day of his return." 1 Peter 7
It is our purpose in life to share with all
others a glimpse of the life of Jesus and what He would do
by showing others our unconditional love and our life of total
forgiveness.
"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and
persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely,
for my sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward
in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before
you." Matthew 5:11-12
I asked God to bless me with the clarity of
mind and spirit to see the goodness in this man who did not believe
and for me to love him as myself.
"My little children, let us not
love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." 1 John
3:18
God has answered my prayers and I can truly say
before God that I do love this man and I know God has great plans
for him. I pray that this good man of God who had little
faith on that fateful day will continual to show that his
spirit is blessed with the clarity of mind
that exemplifies the seriousness of what is important to
God and that is to give glory to God's name in everything that we
say and do.
"If you
don't change your ways and give glory to my name, then I will send
terrible punishment upon you, and instead of giving you blessings as
I would like to, I will turn on you with curses. Indeed, I have
cursed you already because you haven't taken seriously the things
that are most important to me." Malachi 2: 2
I have learned to forgive and to love this man because
that is not only God's Will but also God's Way. I believe that
he is a good man of God and I know that God is shaping each one of
our hearts and our faith so that we may bring him all the praise and
all the glory. I believe that God not only tested my faith through
this ordeal, but that He tested the brother's faith in where he
stood in glorifying God in the future.
Not long after this ordeal, the brother who had no
faith and did not deliver this message from God to his brother, had
seperated from this Church and is now the Pastor at another Church
for the last couple of years, many miles down the road. I believe
God is shaping his life daily so that his faith will increase to
hear the voice of God speaking through others as well as his
blessings so that he may follow in his brothers foot steps of
glorifying God in everything that we say and do.
"You see, God doesn't just see the obstacles
of what this man is doing against Him in the present, He sees the
blessings in what this man is going to do in
glorifying God in the future."
"The apostles said
to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" Luke
17:5
God's Spirit told me that being
blessed has has nothing to do with the number of
people who acknowledges us as number one . It has
everything to do with who we acknowledge is "Number One," and
are we faithfully obedient to God's Will and His way.
"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from
faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:17
Some
of the blessings I give glory to God
May we all glorify God in everything that
we say and do.
It is not my job or my responsibility to
force anyone to believe what God wants to do for them in their
lives, just like it was not this wonderful
man's responsibility to force his brother to have the
faith to move to a much bigger location for their Church.
This is true when we share
with others what God's Word says on being saved.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:
8
People do not become saved because
of us, we are only the messenger. It is up to the Holy Spirit and
God's Word to convict them to accept Christ as their personal Lord
and Savior.
We are never failures if we are obedient
to God's Will and somebody does not accept Christ or they do not
believe in what He has planned for them in His Will.
God has blessed my family and me so
many times for standing up with faith and for being obedient to His
Will, and He wants to do the same for you.
Just do your part, and God will do the
rest.
"This is the victory that overcomes the
world, our faith." 1 John 5:4
