Things
we should know about blessings and curses
Once we start to see the
blessings in our lives such as great
healing,
having our financial needs met or that
our life was spared from a terrible
tragedy, etc...
It's important that we leave the signs of
wonder in Jesus hand's.
We should not stay focused on the
healing but on the Healer!
When we start to see miracles happen in our
lives,
it's so important for us to not dwell
on the miracle but on the Miracle worker
Jesus!
God will continually bless and
protect you for caring for others in times of trouble.
"Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers
him in times of trouble.
The Lord will protect him and preserve his
life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender
him
to the desires of his
foes. Psalm
41:1-2
The scriptures
mentions the words "bless" or "blessings" over 400
times.
Below are some of the
blessings that God promises to give us in Deuteronomy
28
for being obedient to
His way!
God's
favor
Victory over
adversity
Prosperity in
all things
Exaltation- Be
made the head and not the tail
Fertility
Good
Health
In a single
word what is God's way, and how do we become blessed by
it?
"Obedience"
Showing
"Obedience" to God's Will is the only
way!
Moses says in verse 13
that God will make us the Head and not the tail for our
obedience!
We all know that it is
the head and not the tail that leads us to a blessed
life.
To be
spiritually wise in God's Word on what brings His blessings in our
lives,
we also
have to be spiritually wise in what brings curses in our
lives.
In Deuteronomy
28:15, Moses explains the major cause of all
curses.
"If you do not obey the Lord
your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees
I am giving you today, all
these curses will come upon you and overtake you." Deuteronomy
28:15
I do not believe if we find ourselves
in any of the circumstances below
from the book of Deuteronomy
that it means that we are cursed,
I do believe however that whatever
circumstances that we find ourselves in
that it is all part of God's grand
design to help mold us and shape us
by increasing our
faith in Him, so that we each have a much more intimate
relationship
with Him so that we are in constant
prayer praising Him
that He will turn any
circumstances that we are in to a blessing
so that we can glorify Him to all
others.
Both sadly and tragically, I have
seen many people whose lives have experienced
over whelming adversities in their
personal life, and instead of turning to God
and standing on faith that He will
never leave them or forsake them.
They have literally became bitter and
enraged by holding a grudge against God,
blaming Him for their
circumstances.
God's
disfavor
Oppression
Poverty
Failure in
every part of your life
physical and
mental illness
Defeat against
the enemy
Cannot prosper in any way,
shape or form.
Family break
ups that are from a curse that has been passed down
from generation
to generation such as family violence, alcoholism,
drug abuse,
criminal behavior, etc...
In a
single word, what is not God's way and what brings curses in our
lives?
"Disobedience!"
Disobedience to God's
way and His Will.
Remember just because someone's circumstances is going
through any of the situations
that Moses calls curses, this does not mean that
God is not sending them a major blessing
in
their lives or that we should judge them. The book of Job reminds us
of this Biblical
truth,
Why adversity
happens?
God's truth is when adversity happens in our lives,
it does not mean that we are cursed.
Adversity is also one of God's ways of bringing
us turn to Him to have a much closer faith walk
with Him.
To be continually blessed by God we
have to understand how His blessings work
and what are the fruits of the
Spirit.
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long
sufferering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law." Galatians 5:22-23
We need faith in God and without
faith it is impossible to please God.
"But without faith it is impossible to please
him; for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews
1:6
Blaming God is not the way to
being blessed, being obedient to Him is.
God expects us to have the
fruits of the Spirit such as faith and long sufferering
so that we will always turn to Him
and not away from Him.
"If they obey and serve him, they shall spend
their days in prosperity, and their years in
pleasures."
Job 36:11
We have to ask ourselves, if we are
not faithfully glorifying God that He will bless us
through our adversities.
Who are we serving if we hold a
grudge and blame God for the circumstances
that are presently in our lives. God
or Satan?
God's Word teaches us that we cannot
serve two masters.
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but
the Lord delivereth him out of them all." Psalm 34:19
"Being permanently blessed is not
about going through life without problems,
It's about glorifying
God for blessing you through life's
problems." Reverend Michael

"A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord
delivers him from them
all." Psalm 3:19
Just like others, I have been
through countless circumstances throughout my destiny
that God has triumphed and led me to victory over each
and every one of them.
Because of His mercy and grace in my
life,
He has increased my faith in knowing without a
doubt that God's Word always works,
and
that He will never leave you or forsake you one time.
Remember God did not say that He will not leave you
most of the time,
He
said that He will never leave you.
"I will never leave you or
forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
Keeping our scriptural Covenant with God in our
everyday lives
will define our obedience to Him and if we
are going to be a blessing
or
a curse to God's Will from the everyday choices that we
make.
It is WOWFaith's Ministries mission and it
is one of our goals to share
with others that God does want to bless you
permanently,
and
God is bound by His own laws to never break His word on blessing
us.
Another word for "permanent blessings"
is "continual blessings."
Why do bad things happen?
"Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that
ye may prosper in all that ye
do."
